Recently I've bought 2 used Nintendo DS Lite consoles. With both of them had hardware issues. All pictures were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S10:
1st one
It had a pixel stuck in red color, in the top screen. Each pixel consists of 3 leds: right, blue and green. So in this case it was one red led which got stuck on all the time. I've tried massaging the screen with the stylus but no luck. You can only see it with a black screen turned on or when certain colors are displayed on the screen, certainly not with a white screen.
2nd one
This second console has much more serious upper screen ghosting:

- the game Super Mario 64 DS freezes after 30 to 50 minutes of gameplay, and sometimes the cartridge is not detected when powering on the console, so has to be removed and put back again even more than once in a row. It's a console defect since with the other doesn't happen.
- the D-pad is a little bit worn out and sunken, and you have to press quite a bit to score the diagonals, otherwise Mario stop moving briefly.
- the bottom (touch) screen looks like it has been mounted a little displaced towards the right side, it's not centered to the looking glass.
Nintendo DS Lite: has 4 brightness levels, which you can switch between by touching the sun at the bottom left corner in main setup screen after powering on the console.
